We went to Utah again. Kirsten's grandma had been recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and so we met up with her dad, 2 sisters, and a brother-in-law for the weekend. It was good to see everyone even if the circumstances were a little sad.

Kirk's extended family has a reunion Fathers Day weekend every year. So, we took an extra day off work so we could play in San Francisco. On Friday we drove up to Northern California. It was my first time (except for the 22 hours I spent up there for work once). We went to Pier 39 with Kirk's family and also to Alcatraz. That is Alcatraz behind us.
We also got to ride the cable car up to see Lombard Street (the crookedest street in the world) and then go to Ghiradelli Square. It was awesome. You can smell it from across the street. And they give out free chocolate samples at the door. Should we be embarrassed that we went back in through another door for another sample? We ate the best seafood ever at Scoma's. Then we took a cab back to the hotel. The next morning we went to Golden Gate State Park and Chinatown. It's illegal to sell fireworks but we saw a couple guys there yelling "FIREWORKS!" so loud and even popping them in the street. In LA they take you to a back room of their shop if you ask about selling fireworks. Chinatown is so funny. Then we drove home.
FINALLY! I forgot you said you had put pictures on here. And I am excited to see them...but I would be even more excited to see pictures of Thing 1 and Thing 2. :o)
